Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary Bid Farewell to outgoing Mauritanian Ambassador

On Saturday, 16th September 2023, the Permanent Secretary II of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Ambassador Habib T.B. Jarra, representing the Honorable Minister, H.E. Dr. Mamadou Tangara, attended a farewell gathering organized by the Mauritanian Community in The Gambia in honor of the outgoing Mauritanian Ambassador to The Gambia, H.E. Sidi Mohamed Mohamed Radhi.
The event took place on Saturday evening at the African Princess Hotel.

During the ceremony, PS Jarra on behalf of the Honorable Minister conveyed his gratitude to the outgoing Ambassador H.E. Sidi Mohamed for representing the Muritainian government and contributing immensely to the bilateral between the Republic of The Gambia and the Islamic Republic of Muritania. He applauded the outgoing diplomat for building strong relationships for the interest of both countries during his tour of duty.  Ambassador Jarra commended him for the support on the development aspect of The Gambia and for citizens of Mauritania not violating the laws of the country but rather contributing to the economic growth of The Gambia.

Ambassador Jarra was accompanied to the event by Counsellor Abdoulie Jallow from the African Affairs Directorate of MOFA and Protocol Officer Bai Ebrima Jobe.

In attendance was H.E. Mr. Aboul Maaly, the Honorary Consul and Head of the Mauritanian Community in The Gambia.

The event followed a farewell meeting between H.E. President Adama Barrow and H.E. Ambassador Sidi Mohamed, which occurred on the preceding Friday.
