Gambia, China sign protocol on debt relief

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Ousainou Darboe, Monday signed a protocol on debt relief between the Republic of The Gambia and People’s Republic of China.

The Chinese deputy Minister of Commerce, Mr Qian Keming, signed on behalf of the Government of China.

Also on Tuesday, Minister Darboe held bilateral discussions with the Foreign Affairs Minister of China, Wang Yi.

Banjul - Following the announcement on 5th June, 2017 that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member States plus Yemen, Egypt etc, had severed diplomatic ties with Qatar. Minister appeals for electoral assistance to boost democracy

 

Hon Ousainou Darboe, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, has urged the Ecowas Fact-Finding Mission team in The Gambia to support the parliamentary electoral process in a bid to ensure consolidation of democracy the country is enjoying.

Diplomatic Community paid courtesy call on President Barrow

The Gambian Diplomatic Community Tuesday paid courtesy call on the President of the Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency Adama Barrow at Kairaba Beach Hotel, with a pledge to deliver to spur Gambia’s development strides.

Gambia Resumes Diplomatic Ties with China

The Islamic Republic of The Gambia has resumed diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China following the signing of a joint communiqué in Beijing.

Gambian Foreign Minister Honourable Neneh MacDouall – Gaye and her Chinese counter Wang Yi on Thursday March 17, 2016 signed a joint communiqué establishing diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level.

Moroccan Businessmen Delegation visits Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Neneh Macdouall – Gaye, Wednesday 2nd December 2015 received in audience a delegation from the Kingdom of Morocco headed by Mr Hassan Sentissi Ei Idrissi, President of the Association of Moroccan Exporters.

The delegation comprised of business personnel from Agriculture, Energy, Mining, Fisheries, and Oil processing among others. They were led to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Gambian Ambassador to Morocco, His Excellency Kebba S. Touray.
